Watchmen

I've been reading Watchmen quiet few times. The story is quite completed to understand till i manage to understand what it is actually all about. A great masterpiece from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. No wonder its one of Time magazine's 100 best novels.

Watching the movie after some another reading of this graphic novel was like a big mistake....
I might know who the heroes are, the villain, and so on.....and it seems spoils a bit.
Probably if you have recently read Watchmen and wanted to watch it in the cinema, you might be....i'm not sure what but like a dissapointing feeling. The movie was great. It maybe not 100% the same as the comic but still i think the movie did good....

Set in 1985, an alternate time line which the president was Richard Nixon where it's about vigilantes and retired superheroes were back together after one of the members were murdered.

Rorschach investigates a murder crime which kills Edward Blake@The Comedian. He suspects someone is killing the superheroes. He warns Nite Owl, Silk Spectre, Mr. Manhattan( the only one with power) and Ozymandias. As he proceed to investigate the matter, he found out the teribble truth behind this conspiracy.

I would say, the characters costume is mostly the same except for Ozymandias. Nite Owl looks cooler in the movie( reminds me of Blue Beetle of Ted Kord). Rorschach looks the same in the comic, so does Silk Spectre and Mr Manhattan( i'm not if its only me or what but Mr Manhattan you know what is blurred in the movie...did you see that?). Only Ozymandias has a new design. The Comedian also seems to have a new costume.

Just like in the comic, its not for the kids to watch it. some scenes of violence and a bit of sex scene might not appropriate to be watch.
